What if parallel universes are real?

Who, what, when, why, and where, are the words used to a situation. But what are parallel universes? Who is in them? When can we go to them? Where are they? Why do we ask these questions?   For those who don't know parallel universes are a place like ours but altered. I've taken into consideration the amount of choices we make in our lifetime, whether big or small. For instance what to eat for dinner, when to study, or just simply when to go to bed. Now imagine if we could see how those other decisions turned out to be, hence “parallel universes.”

I am most certainly a skeptic because there is no solid evidence to support the idea of parallel universes. For example, the experiment of  “Schrodinger's Cat’ was not a real experiment and therefore did not scientifically prove anything. Schrodinger's Cat is not even part of any scientific theory. Schrodinger's Cat was simply a teaching tool that Schrodinger used to illustrate how some people were misinterpreting quantum  theory.” meaning that this experiment was not significant nor relevant. For those of you that don't know, Schrödinger's experiment is a cat placed in a box with a tiny bit of radioactive material that kills the cat. And they say it doesn't happen until someone sees it. This experiment is terrible because it says nothing is happening if no one sees it. But if no one sees it that doesn't mean it didn't happen which just sounds ridiculous because take germs for example we can't see them or feel them but they are still there and function. But what do I know? I'm just a high school student. Which leaves me in question. If, say, parallel universes are real, could we travel to them? What would it be like? How would it function? Could we change the course of history? Who knows maybe it's not real, but there is always that slight chance.
