What motivates you to keep playing basketball?

For sure my mom. She was goated when she played. Her support means everything to me. Bond with my coach and team.

What do you enjoy about competing?

I think I was just a natural born competitor. I love the adrenaline. I love playing the best, beating the best, and being the best. I don't mind losing, it just means I have to work harder.

How do you handle the pressure off and on the court?

On the court, I know the pressure is there but it doesn't make me nervous. I just keep playing and go back to the basics. I actually work better under pressure. Off the court, I keep my grades and attendance up.

What do you and your teammates do to be a successful team?

We have two practices a day, workout in the morning and practice at night. We do lots of conditioning to stay in shape. We work on trusting each other and we also push each other to do better.

What is your favorite sports quote?

“Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard” by Tim Nokte.

What is a song that hypes you up before a game?

"4 minute combo" by A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie.

What are your plans for after high school?

I am uncommitted but I am going to play softball. I want to major in Biochemistry and minor in Spanish.

How would you describe a perfect day?

Wake up with no alarm, have breakfast made for me, read my book till I don't want to, go to basketball practice, go hit the cages, and go to sleep.

Who is your childhood hero?

Definitely my mom because I've watched her work hard all my life while still keeping me her #1 priority. No one supports me more than her.

What was a pivotal moment in your life?

Playing basketball on the Beloit Memorial team and having racist remarks said to us. I was shocked when I heard what one of the girls from the other team said to us. I was so stunned I didn't say anything for a couple of seconds.
